Prodog training- I'm a HUGE fan!
I'm a 39 year old business owner in Bend, and owner of a 13 month old dobermann.
I contacted Thad with Prodog about 3 months ago, interested in meeting him and discussing some protection work for my dog.
I trust my instincts when I meet somebody, and had a good feeling about Thad from the beginning. It was obvious that he was intelligent, informed, experienced and also a very patient type- all the characteristics I wanted in somebody that would be working with my dog. (My dog is extremely important to me.)
Thad showed me a DVD of clips of training that he's done with dogs.
To say I was impressed with what I saw is an understatement.
Needless to say, I hired Thad on the spot.
Let me point out that my dobermann comes from "Show" stock, not "Working" stock.
He doesn't have the bloodlines expected of a protection dog. And in the beginning, it showed.
My dog was shy and didn't possess ANY of the qualities that would even HINT at being able to do the protection work.
Well, Thad Stacy worked patiently with my dog and I for several weeks, getting my dog to respond to the training.
His training methods are extremely effective, and are delivered with positive reinforcement.
I can tell he really cares for my dog.
I feel extremely fortunate to have Thad in the Central Oregon area.
He's fair, experienced, prompt, patient, good natured and in every way a pleasure to work with.

I met Thad and the guys at ProDOG almost two years ago (2005) through a mutual friend. I had heard about ProDOG for several years and their work with specialized tactical protection dogs for the casinos in Las Vegas, Rena and Laughlin, Nevada. Since I frequently work in Nevada, I had also heard alot of positive stuff about ProDOG and several of Thad's dogs that participated in some law enforcement K9 trials.
Since I am involved in elite executive protection, I wanted my dogs trained to be both tough and mentally stable. ProDOG has done a great job working with me and my kennels dogs! I have never seen any other trainers, sport of otherwise, that could produce the quality of dogs that is the standard for ProDOG.
